System requirements for dots iSWT 4: for the Server, for the enduser's Browsers and for the installation of the JT Web Printer. We recommend to use current browsers and recent hardware.

Server

  • SMTP E-mail Server
  • Windows Apache HTTP Server, from Version 2.2.4 (Version 2.2.9 recommended)
  • FTP Server (if used with dots Cockpit 4 JTX)

Hardware

Minimum

  • Windows 2000 Professional with SP4, Windows XP with SP2
  • Pentium processor or compatible
  • 10 GB of free hard disk space
  • 512 MB memory
  • Inter-/Intranet connection

Recommended

  • Windows 2000 Server with SP4 or Windows Server 2003 with SP1 or SP2
  • Pentium  compatible dual core processor
  • 4096 MB memory
  • 50 GB free hard disk space (fast hard disk or RAID system)
  • Possibility of remote access for maintenance purposes, e.g. Windows Remote Console, Terminal Server or VNC
  • dots iSWT 4 needs to be installed on a separate computer if used together with dots Cockpit 4 JTX (see minimum requirements for dots Cockpit 4 JTX)

  • Firefox from Version 2.0
  • Internet Explorer Version 6.0 or 7.0. Using Internet Explorer 6.0 requires activation of ActiveX for AJAX functionality.

Macintosh

  • Firefox from Version 2.0
  • Safari from Version 2.0

Linux

  • Firefox from Version 2.0

All browsers must support cascading style sheets from V2.x. JavaScript must be enabled. Session cookies must be accepted.
